Schlumberger Employees Abducted in Sudan

DUBAI, October 29, 2007

Schlumberger confirmed today that three of its employees, one Egyptian, one Iraqi and one Sudanese, have been abducted in Sudan.

Securing their safe return is our top priority and we are working with all relevant authorities to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. We believe that it is not in the interests of their families or the safety of our employees to release further details about this event at this time.
